carpet cleaning prices
carpet cleaningCompanies tend to charge based on square footage of carpeting in the home or per room. For an average three-bedroom home, you can expect to pay$ 175while larger cleanings around the house can cost betweenUS$ 300 a US$ 600🇧🇷 Carpet cleaners typically charge more to move furniture, requiring homeowners to move large items to keep costs down.
Carpets accumulate dirt, dust, dander and allergens on a daily basis, requiring deep cleaning once or twice a year depending on the number of pets and traffic, and commercial rugs demand more.
While do-it-yourself cleaning can work well temporarily, the expensive truckload machines used by professional carpet cleaning companies can do a better, longer-lasting job because of the suction power they are capable of.

Some companies can attract and trade by adding entry and aisle costs after creating a quote based on cost per room. You may want to choose a company that charges per square foot to be more direct and avoid hidden costs.
- Pet stain and odor removal– Professional carpet cleaners can remove these stains. They pre-treat tough, odor-intensive stains before the main cleaning begins. If pets continue to relieve themselves in these areas, it may be necessary to replace the underlay, which can cost up to $100.$ 300.
- Furniture and upholstery cleaning- Hot water suction can remove most of the dirt and grime from your furniture$50 or more.
- stair cleaning– This may be an additional charge, although we've seen charges as low as we've seen$ 2for every stair cleaning.
- water damage– Make sure the company is certified by the IICRC as a specialist in cleaning and restoration. This ensures that there is no water residue left on the carpet and water-damaged furniture after cleaning. Always treat water damage immediately before it passes through the base of the carpet.
- Moving and moving furniture– It is likely that the parts of the carpet that need cleaning are those that are not covered by large furniture (circulation area), so there is no need to move large pieces. However, if you need things like moving a piano, you'll have to pay at least$20/houror more.
- Teflon treatment- Add a water and stain repellent coating to the carpet. This creates a barrier between the carpet fibers and spilled liquids or solids. Give it a 15 to 20 minute leeway to soak up the liquid. teflon treatment costs$20 and upand sometimes it is included for free.
- mecha- Stains can penetrate the base of the carpet. They can appear within a day or two of drying. A dark stain will reappear from the dark stain moving up through the pad and carpet to the surface of the carpet fibers. In that case, your carpet cleaning company may need to come back and clean the stain again. Make sure you have a cleaning guarantee with the service provider you care for. Many offer warranties ranging from a few days to a month.

Carpet cleaning methods
The type of carpet cleaning method you choose will also affect your costs. Hot water extraction (HWE) is the preferred cleaning method of most carpet cleaning companies and claims to remove around 97% of dirt and bacteria. It uses less water than steam cleaning and the drying time is shorter due to the suction power of the machine used, allowing a complete cleaning. Older rugs with a weak backing and natural threads may shrink after HWE.
Carpet cleaning with hot water extraction (HWE).
Very hot water and (sometimes) a pressure washer are applied using jets of water with a conditioning tool to agitate/scrub the carpet fibers and loosen the dirt. The chemical reagent, usually an ammonia solution for synthetic carpets or an acidic solution for wool, liquefies the dirt and oily substances. At the same time, the rug is rinsed with hot water and the water is sucked off again with a vacuum cleaner. Remember that the heat of the water can damage rugs made from natural fibers such as wool or velvet, and as a lot of water is used, efficient water removal and a long enough drying time are essential to prevent mold growth.
The cost depends on the loops in the rug and how tightly they are twisted, with Berber being the easiest/cheapest to clean. Cotton and wool rugs can cost 30% more.
Carpet cleaning with shampoo
The shampoo in foam form is applied to the carpet with rotating brushes and then vacuumed but not rinsed. Foam residue can remain sticky after drying, making the carpet even more susceptible to soiling in the future. Moisture is minimal, so drying time is short.
Dry carpet cleaning
A 'dry' cleaning powder (approximately 10% water based) made from solvents and detergents that loosens and then picks up dirt which is brushed/worked into the carpet fibers and then vacuumed up after 10-15 minutes. The mat can be walked on after 20 minutes.
This is not a deep clean, but it is less labor intensive. Also, the chemicals used won't attract future dirt like carpet shampoo, and won't damage the carpet fibers as much.
Cleaning encapsulation mats
Similar to dry cleaning, the detergent is applied as a wet lather using a rotary machine, brush applicator, or compression sprayer. The detergent binds and crystallizes/encapsulates the soil and dries for a period of 20 minutes before vacuuming. This method uses less shampoo than regular carpet washing and dries faster. However, it does not work well on heavily soiled carpets.
An advantage of using this type of polymeric solution is that the entire carpet is coated with the film, which continues to accumulate and crystallize future dirt long after the initial cleaning.
Cleaning the hood mat
First, a cleaning agent is sprayed onto the carpet. A pad is soaked in a cleaning solution and then hooked up to a motor so it can spin on a carpet at 100-300 RPM and suck up dirt from the carpet. The pad is repeatedly washed or replaced because it fills up with dirt quickly, usually every few hundred square feet; and once full, it starts to spread the dirt.
This is mostly done in commercial areas with hotel quality carpeting because of its quick cleaning and drying, but because it only cleans the top layer of carpet fibers, it's not a deep clean and the dirt comes back quickly. Also, the cleaning solution can build up in the carpet. Most carpet companies will void your carpet warranty if you use this cleaning method.

Large furniture stays in place and is covered, such as beds, entertainment centers and desks. Items such as coffee tables should not be put back after cleaning to allow the carpet to dry properly first.
- Stains and dirt stains are pre-treated.
- All carpets are cleaned.
- Some companies do a final brushing or brushing.
- Final checks are welcome.
- Open the windows and/or turn on the air conditioning to speed up drying time. Depending on the cleaning method used, this can take anywhere from 2 to 24 hours. Some companies have a Studebaker fan that can dry carpet in a 12x14 room in half an hour. It sucks in dry air from the top of the room and distributes it to the carpet, drastically reducing drying time.
- Please do not wear shoes indoors during this time and be careful not to slip.

- Use baking soda as a bleach, deodorant, and cleaning agent.
- Vinegar can penetrate grease and has antibacterial properties - use a 50/50 solution with water to neutralize stains.
- Borax is an antiseptic and antifungal cleaning agent that deodorizes and disinfects: mix ¼ cup of salt, borax and vinegar and leave on carpet stains overnight as a treatment.
